PREPRESS SPECIFICATIONS
Scanning resolutions should be no less than 350dpi at the size they are to be printed.
Work in the colours that the job is to be printed in (Spot or Process).
Bleed should be set to a minimum of 3mm.
Supply all fonts that you have used with the final document.
Don’t forget fonts that are used in linked EPS files (Better to convert them to paths prior to linking into the final document).
Web site graphics are not anywhere near the quality needed for printing and therefore should not be used.
Once you have the document on your chosen transfer media, open it from that source to make sure that all fonts and links are included and accessible.

- Illustrator CS3
These applications are supported on Macintosh only. Earlier versions can be accepted. If you wish to supply a document from an application not listed above, please contact us prior to sending the file.
Freehand 8
- Files should be saved as EPS files.
- Fonts should be converted to paths.
- All links to be either embedded or supplied along with the document.
- All elements should be trapped where applicable.
Illustrator CS
- Files should be saved as EPS files with fonts included.
- Fonts should also be converted to outlines as a safety measure.
- All links to be either embedded or supplied with the document.
- All elements should be trapped where applicable.
QuarkXpress 4.2
- QuarkXpress EPS files accepted if all fonts and links are provided.
- Trap any imported Freehand or Illustrator files from within their native applications prior to sending the QuarkXpress document for output.
InDesign CS
- Fonts should also be converted to outlines where possible or provided.
- All linked document to be provided or embedded.
Adobe Acrobat
- High-resolution composite PDF files can be accepted.
- Please ensure that you use Distiller 4 or above.
